ProProcess Fabrication (PPF) manufactures high-end products to world-class ISO standards which always meet our client specifications and requirements. These products are not only supplied to projects within the ProProcess Group, but ProProcess Fabrication also offers its welding, boiler making, platework, pipework and assembly expertise to independent clients. Our comprehensive range of services is applied to specialised projects for the mining, material handling, petrochemical, oil & gas, minerals processing, food & beverage and water treatment industries.

A core differentiator of ProProcess Fabrication is the ability to assemble complex skids, comprising mechanical equipment, piping and automation & electrical components. Our welders are competent to work with materials such as carbon steel, all grades of stainless steel, titanium, hastelloy, and other high alloy steels. Our welding is performed by coded welders to comply with manufacturing standards resulting in expert steel fabrication that you can rely on.

SANS ISO Part 2 Accredited

Our quality management system for fusion welding of metallic materials is certified to SANS ISO 3834 PART 2

• Our structural welding of steel complies to AWS D1.1.
• Our welding of platework and piping conforms to ASME IX.
• Our stainless steel welding of platework conforms to AWS D1.6.

Statutory Testing

Material Tracking: Our material tracking reports comprehensively trace all materials and processes from origin to completion. All our material is identified through traceability reports and positive material identification (PMI).

International Standards: When working on international projects, we conform to international standards specified by our clients.

Statutory Testing

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

A wide range of NDT techniques are employed at our works to ensure compliance and a high-quality product. In-house visual inspections and dye-penetrant, dye-pen testing are the minimum standards we follow. Water testing is conducted on fabricated vessels ad piping spools. For certain applications, an independent Approved Inspection Authority (AIA) carries out Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and radiography.

ProProcess Fabrication manufacture high end products to world class quality which always meets our client specifications and requirements. We achieve this by making use of the best equipment in our strategically located in the heart of Germiston, state-of-the-art workshop, which includes the following:

  • Workshop area: 2,560 m²
  • Additional under-roof-area: 2,450 m²
  • Overhead cranes 1: 3.5-ton; 7-ton and 25-ton capacity
  • Forklifts
  • Boilermaker bays: 9 off
  • Welding bays: 6 off
  • Material quarantine area with strict material identification (PMI)
  • Consumable stores
  • Dedicated commissioning bay
  • Temporary storage area
  • Plate rolling equipment for strake width of up to 2,500mm & diameter of 3,800mm
